Powertex Pathway™

What could happen if you took your creativity further?

A six-month immersive creative development programme designed to help you explore, experiment, build confidence and discover what you're truly capable of creating.

You don't need to know exactly where you're going.

You don't need to arrive with a style, a big idea or years of experience.

You just need to be curious enough to find out.

Pathway begins 2 November 2026

With International Guest Expert Artists, Mentors and a resident Art Therapist

A WORLD OF CREATIVE INSPIRATION
Learn from incredible artists from across the world, each bringing their own distinctive style, techniques, ideas and approach to Powertex. One medium — completely different ways of seeing what’s possible.

LEARN, EXPERIMENT, MAKE IT YOURS
These workshops aren’t about giving you more projects to copy. They’re about exposing you to new ways of working, encouraging you to experiment, and helping you discover which techniques and ideas excite you and belong in your own creative work.

SUPPORTING THE CREATIVE MIND
Alongside our artists and mentors, you’ll also have sessions with our resident qualified Art Psychotherapist — bringing a fascinating additional perspective on creativity, expression and our relationship with making art.

Proudly collaborating and sharing Powertex with art professionals from around the globe via the new Pathway

Imagine where you could be six months from now.

Perhaps the ideas that currently live only in your head have finally become something you can see and touch.

Perhaps you're experimenting more freely instead of worrying about getting it wrong.

Perhaps you understand your materials well enough to make your own decisions instead of always wondering what you should do next.

Maybe you've discovered techniques, materials and ways of working that you didn't even know existed.

Maybe you've found your creative spark again.

Or perhaps you've created something so far beyond what you thought you were capable of that you can't quite believe you made it.

That's what Pathway is about.

Not getting everybody to the same destination.

Discovering how much further you can go from wherever you're starting.

There isn't one kind of Pathway person

ou might have been happily following tutorials for years and recently started wondering what you could create if nobody told you what to make.

You might know Powertex inside out, but somewhere along the way you've lost some of the excitement you once had and want to become the curious student again.

Perhaps you've only just discovered Powertex and suddenly an entirely new creative world has opened up in front of you.

Or you might already have an established creative practice in another medium and be fascinated by what new materials, techniques and perspectives could bring to your work.

You might create purely because you love it.

You might teach.

You might exhibit or sell your work.

You might never have considered yourself an artist at all.

Where you're starting matters far less than your curiosity about where you could go next.

So, what exactly is the Powertex Pathway™?

Pathway is a six-month supported creative development programme.

But it isn't six months of me handing you projects and asking you to copy them.

In fact, quite the opposite.

Over six months, I'm going to teach you, challenge you, introduce you to extraordinary people, expose you to different techniques and ways of thinking, encourage you to experiment and give you the support to start making increasingly confident creative decisions for yourself.

You'll learn from international Powertex experts and specialist experts from beyond the Powertex world, each bringing something different to your creative toolkit.

You'll experiment.

You'll play.

Some things will work brilliantly.

Some things might not.

You'll ask questions, solve problems and start discovering what happens when you combine everything you're learning with your own ideas.

Because the destination isn't another Michele project.

The destination is yours.

Your six-month Pathway

MONTHS 1–3

EXPLORE

The first half of Pathway is about opening doors.

You'll explore different techniques, materials, disciplines, processes and creative approaches.

You'll learn from people whose work and expertise may be completely different from your own.

You'll be encouraged to try things without needing to know whether they'll become part of your final work.

Because experimentation doesn't always need an outcome.

Sometimes you need to discover what doesn't interest you to recognise what does.

Sometimes an unfamiliar technique unlocks an idea.

Sometimes two completely unrelated things collide and suddenly become something new.

And sometimes you simply need permission to play.

These first months are about expanding your creative vocabulary so that when it's time to create something of your own, you have far more to draw upon.

Then something changes.

At a carefully chosen point during Pathway, you'll receive your:

SIGNATURE PROJECT BRIEF

No, I'm not telling you what it is.

Not yet.

Everyone on Pathway receives the same brief.

But that's where the similarity ends.

There isn't a project to copy.

There isn't a finished example you're expected to reproduce.

There isn't a right answer hiding somewhere that you need to discover.

There is your answer.

And you'll have everything you've experienced during the first part of Pathway to draw upon when you begin finding it.

MONTHS 4–6

CREATE

Now we take everything you've been exploring and start putting it to work.

You'll develop your response to the Signature Project Brief.

That might begin with research.

Sketches.

Experiments.

Samples.

Ideas that change completely.

Materials that behave differently from how you expected.

Things that go spectacularly right.

And probably a few things that don't.

This is where you learn something enormously valuable:

how to develop an idea rather than simply follow one.

You'll move through experimentation, problem-solving, creative decisions, making and refinement until eventually something exists that didn't exist before.

Your Signature Project.

Not mine.

Not your mentor's.

Not one of our experts'.

Yours.

And you will not be doing it alone.

You are supported throughout.

One of the things that makes Pathway different is the extraordinary range of people you'll have around you.

International Powertex Experts

You'll learn from experienced Powertex experts from around the world, bringing different specialisms, techniques, perspectives and approaches to the same extraordinary medium.

This isn't about learning one person's way of using Powertex.

It's about discovering just how many possibilities there are.

Specialist Guest Experts

We're deliberately stepping outside the Powertex bubble.

You'll be introduced to specialist expertise from other creative disciplines, giving you fresh ways to think, experiment and approach your own work.

Because sometimes the idea that changes your work comes from somewhere completely unexpected.

Experienced Mentors

You'll have experienced mentors alongside you during Pathway to guide, encourage, challenge and help you work through the inevitable moments when you're not quite sure what comes next.

Professional Therapeutic Support

Creativity can be joyful.

It can also make us surprisingly vulnerable.

Comparison. Self-doubt. Frustration. Perfectionism. Fear of getting it wrong. That horrible moment when the thing in front of you doesn't remotely resemble the thing that existed in your head.

I've deliberately built professional therapeutic support into Pathway at key points in the programme.

Because creative development isn't only about learning what to do with your hands.

Sometimes it's about understanding what's happening in your head too.

And I'll be there too.

I'm Michele Brewer, Creative Director of Powertex UK and the creator of Pathway.

I've spent years teaching people how to create with Powertex.

But Pathway is where I get to do something I care about even more.

I get to gradually stop telling you what to make.

I'll teach you. Demonstrate. Share what I know. Answer questions. Challenge you. Help you solve problems and introduce you to people who know things that I don't.

I'll hold the structure of the programme while giving you increasing freedom inside it.

Because I don't want you to finish Pathway thinking:

“Look what Michele taught me to make.”

I want you to look at what you've created and think:

“I did that.”

What do you actually get?

Powertex Pathway™ begins on 2 November 2026 and runs as an intensive six-month creative development programme.

You'll receive:

  • Six months of structured creative learning and development

  • Expert teaching from international Powertex specialists

  • Sessions with specialist experts from beyond Powertex

  • Regular live Zoom support throughout the programme

  • Additional live support

  • Both UK daytime and evening Zoom sessions across the programme

  • Experienced mentoring and creative support

  • Professional therapeutic sessions at key stages of the journey

  • A creative-healing introduction to begin your Pathway

  • Your secret Signature Project Brief

  • Support as you develop your individual Signature Project

  • A creative community experiencing the journey alongside you

  • Recordings and programme resources so you don't have to attend everything live

  • 12 months' access, giving you additional time to complete the programme

  • The opportunity to exhibit your finished Signature Project

This isn't a folder full of content for you to work through alone.

It's six months of people, ideas, expertise, experimentation, conversation, challenge and support surrounding your creativity.

FAQ's

“But am I good enough?”

Wrong question.

Pathway isn't an award for people who have already reached a particular standard.

You don't need years of Powertex experience.

You don't need to be able to draw.

You don't need an established artistic style.

You don't need to call yourself an artist.

And you absolutely don't need to know what you want to make six months from now.

That's what the six months are for.

If you're curious, willing to experiment, prepared to learn and excited by the idea of discovering what you could create, you're starting with the things that matter.

You don't have to turn your creativity into a career.

This matters.

You don't have to become a professional artist.

You don't have to sell your work.

You don't have to teach.

You don't have to open an Etsy shop, build a business or somehow make your creativity financially productive to justify taking it seriously.

Perhaps you simply love creating.

That's enough.

There is enormous value in giving something you love your time, attention and commitment.

Wanting to discover what you're capable of is enough.

And if you're already experienced?

Then we're not asking you to forget everything you know.

Bring it.

Bring your experience.

Bring your existing practice.

Bring your opinions.

Bring the techniques you love and the ones you're thoroughly bored with.

Pathway isn't about turning everybody into the same kind of Powertex creator.

Our international experts and specialists will expose you to new ideas, techniques and perspectives.

Take what fascinates you.

Question things.

Combine them with what you already know.

And see where that takes your work.

Pathway isn't asking you to start again.

It's asking:

Where could you go from here?

What if I've only just discovered Powertex?

Then you have something rather wonderful on your side.

You haven't decided what's impossible yet.

You don't need to spend years learning Powertex before you're allowed to become curious about what you could do with it.

We'll teach you.

You'll have experts and mentors around you.

You'll be learning alongside people with very different levels of experience — and that diversity is part of what makes the programme exciting.

You don't need to catch up.

You start from where you are.

Your Signature Project deserves to be seen.

At the end of Pathway, we'll celebrate what has been created.

Participants will have the opportunity to exhibit their Signature Projects through our online Pathway exhibition, making the work accessible internationally.

In the UK, there will also be the opportunity to exhibit in person at the NEC.

And internationally, participating Powertex distributors may create their own local exhibition opportunities too.

The exhibition isn't a competition.

It isn't about deciding whose work is “best”.

And it certainly isn't something you need to feel ready for today.

It's a celebration of what happens when a group of people begin with different experiences, different ideas and different creative identities — and spend six months seeing where they can go.

Start Date: 2nd November 2026
Exhibition: October/November 2027
